Today’s Special, Incorporated (“Today’s Special,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bakery in St. Augustine, Florida. This policy explains what information our website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
When you contact us. Our contact form asks for your name, your email address, the reason you are reaching out, and your message. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Form entries are stored on our website and sent to our team by email.
When you donate. Donations are processed by Givebutter, our donation platform. When you give through the donation form on our site, you are giving your information (such as your name, email, billing address, and payment details) directly to Givebutter. We never see or store your full card number. Givebutter shares your name, email, gift amount, and any note you add with us, so we can thank you and send your tax receipt. Like most websites, our site and our hosting provider automatically record basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working well.
Cookies. Our site uses a small number of cookies it needs to work. Services we embed (listed below) may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some embedded features may not.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people use, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies and records information such as the pages you view, how you found our site, your general location (city or region), and your browser and device type. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use advertising tools on this site. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
These companies help run parts of our site. Each one handles information under its own privacy policy.
Coming soon. We plan to show our Instagram photos and Google reviews on this site using Smash Balloon. Those sections load content from Instagram and Google, which may set their own cookies. They are not on the site yet, and we will update this list when they are.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above so they can do their work for us, or when the law requires it.
If you contact us or donate, we may email you about your message or your gift. We will only add you to a newsletter or mailing list if you ask to join, and every newsletter email will include a way to unsubscribe.
We keep contact form messages only as long as we need them to respond and follow up. We keep donation records as long as the law requires for nonprofit tax records.
Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you, or to stop emailing you. Email us at info@todaysspecialinc.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection on every page. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information, such as payment details, through our contact form.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
